Open-mouth sacks have an open top end. They are suitable for manual filling, also using static machines, and can be closed by stitching, heat-sealing or gluing. This is the most traditional type of sack. Due to its convenience, it is still widely used in all sectors of industry.
Open-mouth sacks enable an extremely high degree of customisation by the clientele. Filling performance and production protection properties can be optimised to the customer’s requirements.
A length of tubular polyethylene, heat-sealed at one end, is inserted in the sack, either straight or with a z-fold. It allows the product to be completely sealed inside the sack. The outer paper wrapping can even be removed while the inner, tubular layer remains intact.
SIS-Aluminium
For special barrier characteristics, sacks can be made from a layer of paper combined with a layer of aluminium foil.
SIS-Nofat
To contain the most greasy materials, sacks can be constructed with an inner layer of greaseproof paper.
SIS-Handle
Handle on the bottom for easier handling of the sack by the user.
SIS-Open
Integrated tape for easier opening of the sack at the time of use.

Paper type
Paper may be standard, semi-extensible, extensible, porous, machine glazed and coated. White or brown paper with weight from 65 to 120 g can be used. If necessary, a layer of HDPE (high density polyethylene) can be incorporated for increased protection against damp (from 7 to 50 micron, perforated, cut or plain).
