Innovation and development
Over these years we have systematically embraced progress in the use of a variety of materials offering greater strength and environmental compatibility and applied new aeration techniques for a faster and faster filling process.
We have focused in particular on research into innovations to increase the protection of products inside our sacks, gradually developing innovative thermal valves and more and more airtight materials.
Production plants
Reliable for more than
50 years
SIS originated in 1966, founded by Dante Capicchioni in the Republic of San Marino. It was one of the first companies in Europe to specialise in the production of industrial paper sacks. In 1985 SIS became a founder member of Comieco, the National Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Cellulose-based Packaging. Over the years SIS established an excellent reputation for reliability and sound business practices, and it is still the main supplier to customers it began serving more than 50 years ago.
Renewal is non-stop, with the acquisition of new machines incorporating the latest technologies for both sack formation and printing quality in all production plants.
The company is currently run by Franco Capicchioni who, assisted by his staff led by Riccardo Rossi Berluti and Matteo Capicchioni, pursues the mission of expanding the plants to offer an ever-closer response to the market’s needs and demands.
He was a founder and partner in a series of sound, dynamic business ventures: Ceramica Faetano, Fontevivo, Glesa, Grand Hotel San Marino, Immobiliare Adriatica, Immobiliare Serravalle, Marinotex, Sadis, Sapea, SIS, Tecofil and Kopafilm (in Germany).
In 1970, together with the Mularoni brothers, he took over ALI of Gualdicciolo, remaining Chairman of the Board until 2015.
ALI is a leading producer of parquet floorings under the Woodì, Legni del Titano, AliGallery, AliParquets, EnPlainAir, AliDesign, Titanium and other brands.
His involvement in Ceramica Faetano right from its foundation is equally significant. In the mid Eighties, after the merger with Ceramica Del Conca, the group became a major player on the international ceramic floor and wall tile scene, going on to acquire Ceramiche Pastorelli and founding Del Conca USA. Dante was Chairman of the Board of Ceramica del Conca for a number of years.
However, very probably SIS is the company which best reflects all the dedication, courage, philosophy and success of Dante Capicchioni, “captain of enterprise”.
